As everyone knows, this is Greg’s 10th time in the finals and 4th time to win. Even though we all know Kelly has been a paramedic for years, he only has had his patch for 4 months. Both had tremendous odds against them. I cannot tell you how proud I am of them both.  I believe one of the things that sets them apart was they did triage (sort & prioritize patients) on the six patients. No other team did. The other teams all started treating patients immediately and checked and rechecked the same patients several times. The guy who made the announcement said that in years past, it has been real close. He did not say that it was this year, leading me to believe that it was not. Congratulations to Greg and Kelly. They have worked hard to be the best and they proved it again this year. I also want to congratulate their spouses, Michele and Traci, for their support of Greg and Kelly. It really stood out tonight how Greg and Kelly represent LCEMS. We are proud that they do!!
